The Illinois Department of Public Health requires that all food service establishments that prepare and serve food to have a certified food service manager on the premises at all times food is being handled.
 In order to receive this Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC) from the state of Illinois, the employee must take an approved 15 hour training course.
Our course is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health for this mandatory certification.
Certificate holders may also renew their license by completing an approved food safety 15 hour course or a 5 hour refresher course prior to the expiration of their certification as a part of the continuing education clause.
 We offer the Learn2Serve Food Safety Management Principles Certification Training course that provides training to fulfill the 15 hour Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC) Course requirement in Illinois.  The State of Illinois does not allow the final exam to be taken online. The final exam must be taken in a proctored (classroom) environment.

You must take and pass the state examination with a score of at least 75 percent and pay the required certificate fee to the Illinois Department of Public Health to obtain your FSSMC in Illinois.
